Celtic manager Ronny Deila has provided a brief update on Celtic’s pursuit of their on-loan striker John Guidetti.
When asked if a deal for the striker looked likely the Norwegian said Celtic are still in talks with the Swede’s agent.
“We are talking with his agent and still ongoing.” said Deila
Celtic are hopeful to make John’s move to the club permanent but it has been said that the striker is in no hurry to settle his future especially when he can talk to any club he wants in January.
The club are doing the right thing by trying to negotiate a deal as early as possible and will be more anxious as the January transfer window draws nearer. Having already settled a fee with Manchester City the player could make the move permanently in January.
John has been a revelation since he signed at the end of August and it would be considered a major coup if Celtic could convince him his immediate future lies in Glasgow.
