We reported earlier today that former Celtic star/enigma/heartthrob Georgios Samaras has decided to bring the curtain down on his playing career and some people aren’t taking it very well.
Samaras was a polarising figure at Celtic, you either loved or hated the big man.
There were games when he was unplayable and others where he looked as if he couldn’t be bothered.
There was no doubt though, when this man was in full flight in the Hoops he did some serious damage.
Some say his Celtic career came to a premature end and now it looks as if his retirement has come earlier than expected with the announcement he’s back in Greece ready to take a board role at his youth club OFI Crete.
The Greek hitman is set to join his father on the board at the club as they look to bring new life and investors into the SuperLeague team.
These Celtic fans seem a bit fragile after the news.
If reports are true .. Samaras retiring means the dream of seeing him play at Celtic Park again are over ??

Georgios Samaras: “If you play in the English Premier League for a club finishing 11th or 12th the only thing you will remember when you retire is money"
“Memories are about winning games and trophies, not the money. I love this club." pic.twitter.com/TeXDwbX7LC
