With rumours once again swirling that Celtic are interested in Sead Haksabanovic [Football Scotland] here is a look back at the players career to date and whether he would be the right fit for Celtic.

It was interesting to read Ange Postecoglou’s comments after the match on Sunday where he spoke about the Scottish Champions being still active in the market but emphasising the point that any future business may involved a player who can play more than one position.

In that case, Haksabanovic may just be the right fit as the Montenegrin international has the flexibility to play on either wing and has also been used as an attacking midfielder at times.

The 23-year old has already sampled British football when he made the switch from Halmstads BK to West Ham United five years ago but failed to make any sort of impression at the club with the player being given hardly any minutes for the first team.

After multiple loan spells, his career got back on track when he made the switch back to Sweden expect this time to Norrköpping where he impressed to earn a move to Carl Starfelt’s former side Rubin Kazan.

Due to sanctions placed on Russian clubs after the invasion of Ukraine he once again returned to Sweden on loan again this year but has returned to Kazan and may want out of the club.

Although born in Sweden, the winger is a Montenegrin international and has been capped 28 times for his county.

He is a ready made international that has a flexibility in his game that would add further depth to Ange Postecoglou’s squad and could be the right fit to add a further option to the attacking department of the team.
