Over the past few months, we have seen a few names from the club’s hierarchy announce their departure from the club such as Peter Lawwell and Nicky Hammond as we prepare for the up-and-coming rebuild next season.

Now, another name has been linked with an exit from Parkhead as Gary Penrice appears to be in line for the exit door, according to Football Insider.

Penrice was once a former scout for English Premier League side Everton and headed up the Celtic recruitment team alongside Nicky Hammond.

The 56-year old also reportedly played a key role in bringing Shane Duffy to the club with his links to the Irishman at his previous club on Merseyside.

As we head into a new era for the club, a clearout is exactly what we are needing after the last year or so.

Recruitment has been far from ideal, so it seems like a smart move to start again with this rebuild.

The plans appear to be coming into place, slowly but surely and this feels like another piece of the jigsaw that will hopefully be fixed soon.
