Australian football legend Harry Kewell is about to join Ange Postecoglou at Celtic as a first team coach.

Sky Sports has confirmed on Friday evening Harry is set to join John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan in the first team coaching fold as the Hoops boss looks to build on last season.

The bhoys in green had a fantastic first season with Ange but as the big man says himself, ‘we never stop’. After signing Cameron Carter-Vickers on a permanent deal on Friday evening, the news Harry Kewell and his knowledge is coming to Celtic park is more great news.

The former Liverpool and Leeds man knows Ange well and the manager will have had in-depth conversations with the 43-year-old before agreeing to come to Celtic.

For the first time in a long time it doesn’t look like Celtic want to rest on their laurels. They are going full speed ahead into next season and backing the manager as much as they can.

There was an uproar at the start of last season when Ange stuck with both John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan but the club made it clear to CeltsAreHere.com Ange was allowed to pick his own staff. The manager then elaborated during the season and told Celtic fans he would assess the coaching situation as he went.

Bringing in a fellow Aussie will certainly be a boost for Ange.
