CELTIC fans have been split over the Green brigade banner which went viral on social media on Thursday asking Neil Lennon to leave the club.

It’s provoked strong reactions from both camps and even people who are of the opinion Neil Lennon should go are finding the banner distasteful.

One man who hasn’t been impressed by the banner at all is Chris Sutton who went on a rant shortly after the Green Brigade unveiled the banner, branding it despicable and unwarranted. Read his Sutton’s full rant here.

There have been a lot of fans who have pushed back at Chris after his comments, citing a number of reasons why the pundit is wrong. The overriding thought among some supporters is the former Celtic striker is indulging in an ‘old pals act’ and would be quick to call for the manager’s head if it wasn’t Neil Lennon, one of our Facebook page followers even cited a headline Sutton made about Ronny Deila back in the day.

Whatever your thoughts are at this point, it’s clear the Celtic board are sticking with the manager in the hope he can turn this season around. It’s all a bit of a circus and we need to rally behind whoever is in charge.
