LIEL ABADA took to the club’s Twitter account to answer questions posed by fans. One of these questions asked the winger if he was in contact with Nir Bitton had got in touch with him about his move to Celtic in the summer before an agreement was reached. Liel answered.
"I spoke to him only once about Celtic before joining, he said it's a big club with amazing fans. He was right – I love it here!" 😃#AskAbada 🍀 #CelticFC https://t.co/fszjpZVzff

Celtic fans are the best in the world, no doubt about it. Any player would love to play in front of the passionate support Celtic has to offer, but sometimes money does the talking. It’s a sad reality in today’s game.
Off the pitch, Liel and Nir seem to have built an inseparable bond. In a father/son type relationship (size-wise too!) the pair travel back and forth to Israel together.
Playing in the same national team, Nir would have talked about his experiences with Celtic. When Liel found out of the interest, he would have reached out to Bitton, who has been at the club since 2013, to learn about the team in more depth.
Coming to Celtic, he already knew about the club, wearing the green and white hoops of Celtic years before he put pen-to-paper in Glasgow.
