CHRIS SUTTON has declared Ryan Christie will be on the radar of many Celtic’s scouts after his blistering start to the season.

The Celtic midfielder’s stats make for excellent reading.

Christie scored the equaliser during the pulsating game against Lazio during the week and now must sit out his second SPFL match due to suspension.

Sutton notes the midfielder’s meteoric rise in just one year Ryan has gone from forgotten fringe player to main man in the Celtic side.

The BT pundit believes while scouts have been checking on Odsonne Edouard, Kristoffer Ajer and Callum McGregor there’s no way they aren’t taking note of what Ryan Christie is doing.

“Ryan Christie is heading for England’s top flight.” Sutton wrote in his RecordSport Column.

“Before any Celtic supporters try to have a pop at me, I’m not trying to sell off the team’s best players or advocate they leave.

“I’m just saying, given scouts from south of the border are having a look at Odsonne Edouard, Callum McGregor and Kristoffer Ajer, there is no way they won’t be noting Christie’s rise too.

There’s no doubt Ryan will be attracting interest. The more he turns it on during Celtic’s Europa League games the harder it will be to hang onto him.

Brendan Rodgers and his coaching team get a lot of credit for helping develop Ryan with the Scottish international giving a special diet and weight routine to build up his strength during his loan to Aberdeen.
