Former Celtic hero Alan Thompson is set to release his book next month. It will encompass Alan’s life, playing career, winning years at Celtic and follows him into the coaching world where he spent time as Neil Lennon’s first team coach at Celtic Park.

Alan was famously let go by the club during Neil Lennon’s first tenure and it looks like the former midfielder is set to spill the beans and give his side of the story.

Jame Boyle is currently promoting Alan’s book ahead of its release and whipped up quite some interest by suggesting Thommo is about to spill the beans on what Ally McCoist said to Neil Lennon on the touchline all those years ago that made the Irishman go for the Rangers assistant manager.

It was branded the shame game, Celtic won 1-0 on the night to win the cup tie but it was the Rangers players who saw red on the night and tried their best to hurt Celtic.

The clip posted all around the world at the time was Neil Lennon going head to head with McCoist who whispered something into Neil’s ear at the full time handshake.

The scenes at Celtic Park prompted the Government to organise a summit!

Thommo is set to reveal all.

Neil and Ally have been to many engagements together since then and are on good terms these days. Neil did promise to tell fans what Ally said to set him off, however, he’s never definitively don’t that.

Alan’s book will be a very interesting read.
