THE CELTIC TRUST managed to pull the necessary signatures on very short notice in order to get their two resolutions onto the Celtic AGM agenda.

The group were informed on Friday the AGM would be taking place a month earlier than last year, they were then told any resolutions and the necessary paperwork for them had to be submitted by the end of business on Tuesday.

It left the Celtic Trust up against it with the very real possibility of missing the deadline without the necessary signatures.

We’re delighted to report they pulled it off! The group’s hard work behind the scenes paid off. It was no doubt a stressful Tuesday for those involved who also had the small matter of attending a very strange kick off time at Celtic Park.

Well done to the shareholders who got involved.

You can read about the two resolutions below:

Governance Resolution (link here)

This resolution is designed to improve the governance of Celtic PLC by ensuring the independence of the Non Executive Directors and by protecting the rights of smaller shareholders.

Note of Concern (link here)

This resolution relates to the issues which are usually referred to as ‘Resolution 11’.  This is the final version of this resolution.  An earlier draft was circulated but the forms which have already been signed are still valid.

The Celtic Trust are a group of passionate Celtic fans. They want to hold the people in power at our club to account and need the support of the wider fanbase.

  1. Time the 51% took a stand. That time is now.

Don’t bother trying to be smuggled in (or out) and being drowned by all the negitive pish around you.

Hang on in there. For the real supporters of the Hoops future.

You can make the difference, not a massive change, just change.
