Former Celtic youth product and Hibernian Scottish Cup winner Liam Henderson looks like he’s on the move in Italy this month after failing to hold down a place in the Hellas Verona side this campaign.

Liam took the brave step of not staying in the UK when he left Celtic and signed for Bari in Serie B. Doing well there, his time at the club would be cut short due to Bari’s financial meltdown. The midfielder was picked up by Hellas Verona and helped them get to Serie A last season.

Hellas are in 9th position in the league table – a great place to be for a newly promoted club in the top flight. However, Liam’s game time has been minimal; appearing in only 4 Serie A games and 1 Coppa Italia tie.

Gianlucadimarzio has reported the midfielder is set to drop back down to Serie B with a loan move to Empoli. The struggling Italian side are near the bottom, but if they could put a run together, they could easily climb up the tight table.
