There will be no reunion between Celtic and Henrik Larsson in a professional capacity this summer after Swedish side Helsingborgs confirmed his return as manager this afternoon.

The Celtic legend was linked with a move back to Parkhead as part of Neil Lennon’s backroom team but it looks like the temptation to get back into full time management was enough to bring him back to Helsingborgs where he’s also a club legend.

Henrik’s last stint as manager of the club ended in disastrous fashion when the Helsingborgs were relegated from Sweden’s top flight. Ugly scenes after the game saw Henrik fighting off his own fans who were trying to attack his son Jordan who was playing for them at the time.

It looks like the former striker wants to right the wrongs of the past and have another go at being a manager.

We wish him all the best. Does this pave the way for Johan Mjallby’s return to Parkhead?
