HENRIK LARSSON has revealed he is working for absolutely nothing as a coach for Swedish minnows Angelholm.

The 47-year-old made the revelation as he looks to help out the younger generation in Sweden even if he is not being paid to do so.

It will come as a shock to many that the legendary striker would offer his services for nothing but his life is football and it makes sense that the Swede would want to give back as well as learn from the experience.

Speaking about his role with Alexander Tengryd the Celtic Legend seemed

“I have no contract with Angelholm, and they do not pay me anything.

“But I like working with Alex – I did so at Helsingborg. He is an interesting young coach with many good ideas.

“He asked the question and, of course, I want to help him.”

Henrik has not been in management since departing Helsingborgs under a cloud when he had to help fight off angry fans from attacking his son Jordan after the Swedish side were relegated.

It begs the question – why haven’t Celtic and more specifically Brendan Rodgers reached out to the former Golden Boot winner?

Surely with Henrik’s history and his gifted ability as a striker, he could be teaching kids at Lennoxtown and even the first team on a regular basis.

He doesn’t have to work for free but surely a modest wage would tempt the striker back to Celtic in a coaching capacity.

Bring him home!

  1. They’ve just lost Shaun Maloney to Belgium to a slot as 2nd coach behind Thierry Henry (congratulations Shaun, great move) doesn’t that leave a coaching position vacant at CFC?

  2. As much as I (We) All love Henke to come back to Celtic. The last thing he wants is stress in his life just now. Henke and his wife are quite happy where they’re in life. The bloke wants to start something in his country, and he is willling to work with him for gratis. I wish him well in his expliots. And I ‘m sure the kids are too. If Henke thought otherwise, he would be elsewere, and maybe at Bobby Lennoxtown.
