Henrik Larsson has ranked his best strike partner, and his answer probably won’t come as any surprise to Celtic Supporters.

Of course, the King ranked Chris Sutton as “the best partner I ever had”, when speaking to the Lockdown Tactics Podcast.

“The players he (Martin O’Neill) signed were real quality. Chris Sutton, Alan Thompson, Neil Lennon, just to mention a few.

“Chris Sutton was the best partner I ever had. A big guy with vision who knew how to play the game. He was totally unselfish. He worked hard, never stopped running and he could score goals.

“It was easy to play with him. When he went up for a header, I just had to judge where to run.”

With the legendary number saying this, it just shows how good they were as a partnership. Henrik has played in some unbelievable strike partnerships, with the likes of Samuel Eto, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney.

All Celtic fans have fond memories of the two playing alongside each other, in one of the best eras to be a Celtic fan, watching an incredible team.

During their time at the club, it was hugely successful, winning three Scottish Premiership titles, two Scottish Cups and two League Cups. The great team was also able to reach the UEFA Cup final against Porto in Seville, but as many will remember, went on to lose 3-2 after extra time.

There won’t be many who disagree with Larsson’s statement here, as they had a telepathic like partnership as a duo upfront for Celtic.
