Henrik Larsson has been linked with a sensational move back to Celtic as part of Neil Lennon’s backroom staff for the season ahead.

The legendary Parkhead striker has not taken a full time job in football since leaving his post at Helsingborg, when in his final game in charge the club was relegated from the top flight after a 2-1 defeat to Halmstad.

Since then the Swede has played bit-part roles at clubs and also enjoyed doing media duties both in his home country and elsewhere.

Neil seems to have the discretion to bring in at least one more man to his backroom staff and to call upon Henrik Larsson would give everyone a boost. Not to mention the former striker can work with the current crop of talent.

Larsson posted an image of himself with his son Jordan on Sunday afternoon in Portugal as both men were in town to watch the Nations League Final between Holland and Portugal.

The Celtic legend witness Portugal’s 1-0 win over Virgil van Dijk’s Dutch side.

A lot of questions Celtic fans have about the new set up will surely be answered in the coming weeks with Neil Lennon due back at Lennoxtown next Monday!

  1. Look we all loved Henrik but it hasn’t worked out for him in coaching has it. So I don’t think Lennon should be asking him back in a coaching capacity as it may turn out to be embarrassing for both he and Lennon. Let’s keep our great memories of him as king of goalscorers.
