Henrik Larsson has been linked with a move to England with Southend but it appears this could all be a red herring for something much bigger from the former Celtic striker.

According to The Athletic – Henrik Larsson, Dennis Bergkamp and Dirk Kuyt are part of a consortium set to bid for League One side Wycombe Wanderers.

The club are currently facing major financial problems and are looking for outside investment. The consortium is said to have looked at other League One side’s and has even had Ronald Koeman advise on the best course of action.

This would be a radical departure for the Celtic legend who has gone into coaching and punditry since his playing days. Henrik could be part of a consortium who own a club.

Of course, this looks like an investment that all three want to see a return on if they get the 75% approval needed to take over the club.

There are still many Celtic supporters who would like to see Henrik join the club in a coaching capacity one day.
