HENRIK LARSSON has spoken out over racism and how it has affected his life.

The Celtic legend spoke to the official UEFA account about his experiences and the need for change within the game.

Most leagues have taken a knee before the game in solidarity with the anti-racism movement which has gained momentum over the past six months.

It’s crazy that it’s still an issue in today’s game but there are people out there who try to use the club they ‘support’ as a vehicle and outlet for their bigotry. It should never be accepted. In today’s political landscape, some people think they have been given the right to air their prejudices – it’s simply not on and Henrik Larsson wants to see positive change.

Racism can only stop when we all call it out, it can be uncomfortable to confront but when we see it, we must act as a society. Education is certainly the key.
