HENRIK LARSSON has ruled himself out of the running for the Livingston job after it emerged the newly promoted side had an interest in bringing the Swede back to a Scotland.

Yesterday, the Daily Record reported that the former Celtic striker had applied for the vacant position but this turned out to be false and they quickly deleted the story.

Henrik wants to get back into coaching after a sour end to his time in charge of Helsingborgs – the former player could not save the club being relegated from Sweden’s top flight.

The Celtic legend seems to be enjoying his life at present, making charity match appearances and doing lots of media work.

One former Celtic striker who IS interested in the Livingston post is John Hartson. Henrik’s former strike partner is in the running for the job after applying for an interview.

Hartson has some history at Livingston where he was a coach for ten months when they were in the lower leagues.
