LEIGH GRIFFITHS is playing in a reserve game against Stenhousemuir at Lennoxtown this evening and it’s taken him 14 minutes to gab a brace.

The striker has not played a game since the end of August when he came on as a substitute against Hearts.

After his initial return, Leigh’s progress was halted due to a lack of fitness and then an unfortunate injury.

This is the final stage of fitness before Leigh will be considered for a first team place and if he comes through tonight unscathed the striker could make the bench against Livingston.

Currently it’s 4-0 to the bhoys with Leigh’s brace being added to by Liam Burt who has also scored two.

Celtic welcome Livingston on Sunday in the start of their relentless festive fixtures which will see them play in Europe, try and stay top of the league and win the first trophy of the season. Leigh coming back into the fold would be a massive boost.
