NEIL LENNON has delivered even more good news for Celtic in a week of good news for the club by declaring he’s ready to bring Tom Rogic back into the fold when Celtic return to action against Hamilton a week on Saturday.

The Australian hasn’t played for Celtic this season after coming back from pre-season injured. Since then, the player has been sidelined and was unable to train with the team until the last couple of weeks.

“I’m hoping to get Tom Rogic back in contention for the squad for the Hamilton game.” Lennon told SunSport.

“He looks brilliant. He’s in great condition, he’s lost weight and he’s training well.”

The international break allows Tom to get up to speed and get some proper pre-season training under his belt.

All going well, the midfielder could be back in for the game against Hamilton giving Neil Lennon even more options in his attacking line.

It’s not going to be easy for Tom to get back into the side on a regular basis with Ryan Christie taking his place in behind the striker this season. However, with the number of games Celtic will be involved in between now and Christmas, having the Socceroo star back will be invaluable.

  1. If Tom comes back fit he needs to get the finger out. Hasn’t kicked a ball for us in 2 seasons near, we can’t be carrying passengers.
