SCOTT BROWN has spilled the beans about a particular story during an international break.

The Celtic legend was in his first season with Celtic when he recalled word getting back to him constantly about ‘some fool’ in the press calling him an animal and a thug among other things.

That man was Superscoreboard now OAP Shug Keevins.

Speaking at a special Q&A at the SEC infringement of 3,000 Celtic fans. The captain told how he happened across the journalist at Loch Lomond with the Scotland squad and had a few choice words for Hugh as he pinned him to the wall.

Scott Brown told how the journalist wasn’t impressed and told Scott he was going to phone majority shareholder Dermot Desmond to tell on him.

“I was away with Scotland” he told the Celtic View‘s Paul Cuddihy.

“He’s (Hugh) said a few things in the press, I don’t really read the press but I was getting them sent through and it was in the back of mind. ‘Who is this wee fool’

“I met him, had him up against a wall, and I was like ‘see you’ and a couple of things after that’. So I’ve gave him a bit back.

“And he went to me – ‘I’m going to phone Dermot'”

Scott admits himself he’s a quieter lad now than he was back then. I wonder what Dermot said to Shug!
