Hollywood star and famous Celtic fan, James McAvoy has paid tribute to manager, Neil Lennon via social media.

McAvoy posted his tribute to the Northern Irishman after yesterday’s penalty shootout victory against Hearts, with a picture of him and the caption ‘Legend’.

The actor who has featured in famous movies such as X-Men has never hidden his love for Celtic after growing up a hoops fan from Glasgow.

Fans may have seen him feature in several charity matches at Celtic Park over the years.

Lennon became the first person to lift a treble as player and manager in Scotland and created further history with the club completing the Quadtreble Treble.

The final certainly wasn’t won in a simple fashion after a penalty shootout saw the hoops lift their fourth Scottish Cup in a row, but would you expect any different from Celtic.

McAvoy is only one of many fans who have paid great tribute to Lennon. A man who has done so much for the club over the last 20 years.
