Over the past few days, reports suggesting Celtic are in advanced talks about Jota’s future with Benfica have emerged.
It is now looking likely that Celtic will reach an agreement with the Portuguese club leaving the decision with Jota.

Despite murmurings on social media linking the 22-year-old with an EPL move, Jota is said to be happy at Celtic and wants to stay at Parkhead on a permanent basis.
With Celtic having an option to buy Jota, the player has the deciding say. If it is true, and he is happy at Celtic, fans can expect to see him join permanently before summer.
This is fantastic news for fans. Jota has been a standout in the side throughout the first part of the season.
After his injury against Hearts, the team have missed his presence on the wing with a significant gulf in quality between him and Mikey Johnston. All going well Jota will be back training soon.
