According to TeamTalk.com – Sunderland are closing in on a deal for hot Celtic prospect Calvin Miller.

New Black Cats boss Jack Ross is trying to use his knowledge of Scottish football to his advantage and find players who can help spearhead his Sunderland side in their hunt for promotion.

According to the website, Celtic are looking at handing Miller a new deal and will then loan him out to the English side.

Miller, 20, plays as an attacker for the developmental squad but Brendan Rodgers has used the youngster for cover at left back where he’s made a decent account of himself.

It remains to be seen if this one will come off but a year loan under Jack Ross could be a great idea.

  1. Loan and not sale, that seems be Brendans way. It gives Calvin the chance to play wae the blokes of the same age down in teeside. He should do well. And can decide where his future lies.
