CELTIC youngster Jack Aitchison has reportedly returned to the club after just five weeks on loan at Dumbarton.

The 18-year-old left to bolster the lower league side’s attacking options and has played four games since joining. However, it appears that Jack has made a premature return to Celtic.

The loan deal was meant to run until January with a review taking place for the second half of the campaign during the winter transfer window.

Jack now looks set to rejoin Tommy McIntyre’s developmental side for the rest of the campaign.

It’s a bit of a strange one for the youngster who became Celtic’s youngest ever goal scorer on the final day of the invincible season; aged 16 years and 71 days!

Since getting a game that day, the youngster has had to bide his time in the developmental system.

The loan deal coming to an end so quickly will be a set back for the Celtic record breaker but good news for Tommy McIntyre to have him back in the squad.
