Benjamin Siegrist put a fine display on against Celtic on Sunday, even though he shipped three goals. Had it not been for the Swiss goalkeeper, the score would have been much higher.

The praise we gave Benjamin on Sunday hasn’t been an isolated thing, we’ve championed a potential move to Celtic on several occasions after seeing him play in the SPFL against man.

It’s interesting to see Benjamin has ditched his current agency and has now gone with former Celtic scout, turned agent David Moss.

The agent posted a short video welcoming the goalkeeper to First Access Sports.

The 29-year-old’s contract is coming to an end at the end of June 2022 according to Transfermarkt.

Celtic have Joe Hart for another two and a half years, and he will remain the Hoops number one at the moment. That would be the biggest barrier between Benjamin and Celtic – would the keeper come into the club knowing he was going to be number two.

There is an opportunity there for a goalkeeper to come in and make an impact. If Joe Hart goes off injured, the stoppers we have at the club are below par.
