According to the BBC website, the baseline for crowds at Level 0 will be 2000.
The government announced today they believe the whole of Scotland can move to level 0 on the 19th July. It means more rules will be relaxed and we begin the final phase out of restrictions.
Fans gathering in stadiums will have to be tackled on a case by cases basis. 2000 only at Celtic Park for the Champions league opener would be ludicrous considering the capacity of the stadium. We’d imagine the numbers could be similar if not more than Hampden have had for the Euro’s.
Celtic have been long awaiting news on fans being able to return. The level 0 numbers will be welcomed but it will be on August 9 we will hopefully see a sizeable crowd at Celtic Park when we look move beyond level 0.
It’s been over 15 months since Celtic fans got to see their team play in the flesh. There will be many clamouring to get back into the ground and cheers on the bhoys once again.
