New Celtic striker Hyeongyu Oh sent out a warning to the rest of the teams in the SPFL Premiership as he spoke to media.

He is aiming to make an impact and may be given the chance to make his Hoops debut at Tannadice on Sunday against Dundee United in the late afternoon kick-off.

If he is given the chance to pull on the famous jersey for the first time, he is more than willing to put on a show for the travelling support who enjoyed a 9-0 demolition on their last visit to the City of Discovery.

The 21-year-old completed his move to Parkhead on a five-year deal after the Hoops agreed a £2.5 million move with Suwon Samsung Bluewings and he admits that he can’t wait to get started.

His former side finished 10th in the K-League last season as the young forward scored the bulk of there goals meaning that he should flourish in Glasgow as there is so many creative players around him.

Oh will have to compete against Kyogo Furuhashi who has been in fine form for Ange Postecoglou’s team this season but he wants to impress the manager and give him a headache to think about.

“I want to give a good impression on my debut and make it a match that no one will be able to forget,” said Hyeongyu Oh as quoted by Football Scotland.

“The manager showed a lot of faith in me to bring me here, and I want to pay him back by scoring lots of goals. From the moment I heard the offer, I always dreamed about coming over to Celtic and I was looking forward to meeting the fans.

“I always believed that if I put in good performances in South Korea that I would become a Celtic player, so I have been looking forward to this moment. Since I have been a youth player I have always dreamed about playing for a big European club, that has always been my aim.

“I believe I developed well at my former club and this was my time to move on and become a Celtic player. I have always wanted to play in a European league since I visited the UK in 2015. From that moment I knew I wanted to play for one of the big clubs. When Celtic offered I never even had to consider anything else because I knew right away I wanted to come here.”

His perseverance really made the move happen and many cannot wait to see him get started as the Postecoglou evolution continues.
