Postecoglou refused to engage in the media spat between himself and Michael Beale, who claimed this week that Ange waslucky’.

Beale asserted that Celtic‘s financial advantage was the primary factor in their success and, while Ange Postecoglou is a ‘good’ coach, it all comes down to money.

When asked to respond to the comments this week, Ange raised a smile and revealed he is lucky.

“I agree, mate. I’m an extremely lucky man.” The Celtic manager told SunSport.

“I work for a fantastic football club with fantastic people. I’ve got a beautiful family. And I’ve been doing this for 25 years now, and long may that continue.”

Celtic’s net spend hasn’t been that much at all. Depending on what reports you listen to for transfer fees paid and sold, the figure can be either minutes or around £2m.

You have to remember, Celtic were in a mess. Their best players like Ajer and Edouard wanted out of the club and the bhoys did well to get good money for two players nearing the end of their contracts.

Ange was tasked with pulling a group of men together from around the world and moulding them into champions, it took the Australian less than eleven months to do it.

Jock Stein once famously said ‘If they think our success is all just down to luck, maybe we’ll keep on winning things’.

Beale has not stopped talking since he got here. His Ibrox side couldn’t put away a very lacklustre Celtic in the latest Glasgow Derby. Despite Celtic’s poor performance they still came away with a draw.

Ange showed class with his answer once again.

  1. Message to fat boy Beale, yes we have more money, HONEST money. The reason your club doesn’t is down to Murray, EBTs, and cheating the public. We sat back while your club won things, while its predessors fiddled the books. We still are here as ONE club and are honest, so crawl back in your box, and keep wishing.
Probably a lot of your current funds are used for the SFA and the NLRA.
