Celtic lifted their 53rd Scottish Premiership title on Saturday afternoon following an emphatic 5-0 win over Aberdeen.

On the pitch, the Bhoys were terrific and there was a similar showing off the pitch from the supporters.

This was something Ange Postecoglou touched on after the game when he made his what is now customary trophy day speech.

The Australian said (Football Daily):

“We are champions again because of this incredible group of players who are brilliantly led by our skipper Callum McGregor.

“Champions again because of this unbelievable group of people working behind the scenes as staff.

”Champions again because of you. In the words of the immortal Tommy Burns, ‘you are always there, always.’

“Champions again because I am a lucky man.

“And we have more to go because we never stop.”

Postecoglou spread his praise out here to everyone.

Whether it be his players on the pitch or the unsung heroes off it, the Australian distributed acclaim to everyone.

Moreover, Ange got a humorous quip in regarding Michael Beale’s previous ‘lucky’ claim.

Tommy Burns was also mentioned in the speech, his famous ‘you are there and you are always there’ quote being quipped.

On the whole, it was yet another iconic trophy day speech from Postecoglou.

It will be played over and over throughout the summer although we may get yet more memorable quotes from the Celtic manager next week if the Bhoys win the treble.
