Ange Postecoglou is continually looking for his players to keep on progressing as he delivered a ruthless post-match analysis after the victory against Aberdeen.

Celtic started off the season with a 2-0 victory over a new look Dons side with goals coming from Stephen Welsh and Jota.

The Scottish Champions controlled large spells of the game and created a host of chances.

Ange Postecoglou’s philosophy at Celtic is ‘We Never Stop’ which is exactly the message he delivered on Sunday evening.

Many may say that he should keep his thoughts for the dressing room only, but his style of management continues to be refreshing as he doesn’t sugarcoat anything and simply says it how it is.

One of the questions posed to Postecoglou at the press conference was about ‘rhythm’ and whether it’s just the case that Celtic players need to get back into the swing of things.

The manager rubbished these comments as he expects the players to be firing from the word go.

“The season has started. I don’t buy into that,” said Ange Postecoglou speaking to the Glasgow Times.

“We’ve goalscorers all over the park, so we need to be focused in all aspects of our game.”

Although Celtic looked as thought they were in control, had Jota not came up with his spectacular effort it could have become a bit nervy as time went on.

“I think we started well, intense and pressing good. Then we had a sloppy moment, but we got back on it and I think this is the way football works.

“We can never be 100 per cent every game. We want to be, but there will be moments when we won’t be as good. But we just have to keep our minds straight, have a nice mentality, and get back on track.

“That’s what we aim for and, hopefully, every game we will be better and better. Imagine a person having a normal job and not wanting to be better every day? I cannot even find the funny side to that.”

Postecoglou is keeping players on their toes and will have them focused on the visit to Dingwall at the weekend.
