ANGE POSTECOGLOU has been speaking ahead of the Hibernian game tonight and declared himself very pleased with the options he has in attack now.

Earlier this season, there was nobody on the bench Ange could really use to turn a game. Now he’s starting Mikey Johnston and has the likes of Abada and Giakoumakis on the bench.

Speaking about having more options, Ange told BBC Sportsound at 19:10:

“Putting the team together, it was the ultimate plan, to have a lot of attacking options

“We’re getting players back which is great, Mikey gets a start tonight and we have great options on the bench.

“With Mikey and Anthony, a new manager comes in and they start with a clean slate, I don’t look at the past I look at what they do now.

“He [Mikey] gets an opportunity tonight. I open the door for them and it’s up for them to take the opportunity.

Speaking about the challenge ahead at Easter Road, Ange was asked about Celtic’s poor record in the league, the club not winning away to Hibs in the SPFL since 2014:

“I don’t buy into that sort of stuff, it will be a competitive game.

It will be a tough challenge, irrespective of form

“We’re in good form and playing well, it’s a chance for us to maintain that momentum. Put on a good performance and make it hard for them.”

Celtic could make a statement this evening by making sure of the three points. The Bhoys have had to be patient in recent games and they’ll have to be the same against Hibs.

Controlling the game and picking their spots will give them a great chance of winning the tie. If we become frantic and get into a slog with the home side, it could be a difficult night.

It’s a big game and a massive challenge for Ange’s new look side.
