Neil Lennon was asked if he can come back next season and deliver ten in a row, would he see the achievement as the pinnacle and move on from the club after making the feat.

Neil started the run before moving on after three in a row — picking up the dropped ball from Brendan Rodgers two seasons ago, he delivered eight and now nine. If the Irishman can secure the ten, will it be time for him to move on asked Chris Sutton for Mail Sport:

“You can’t get too far ahead of yourself. The 10 is at the forefront of all of our motivation, and Europe is a big carrot as well. Can we negotiate the Champions League qualifying rounds, get into the group stages and have a real go at that?

“Where I am this time next year, I don’t know. I’m sure I’ll still have plenty of fire in the belly, no matter what the outcome of next season is.”

The Celtic manager doesn’t give an answer either way. Only he can take stoke at the end of next season and assess where he and the club are.

You want to leave the stage before your pushed but there’s always more to achieve. The longer you stay, the more pressure you put yourself under.

John Kennedy has been given the freedom and autonomy to take on a much more pronounced role at the club. There’s a real chance Neil Lennon could pass the torch to the Celtic coach at some point. Whether that’s next season or not is up for debate.

If we do land ten, there will be calls for the manager to stay and go for 55.
