CHRIS SUTTON has ignited the fire between both sets of supporters ahead of the Glasgow Derby on Sunday after taking in the Celtic vs Alkmaar game for Premier Sport.

The former Hoops man is getting a lot of encouragement from his old club that they are starting to turn the corner when it comes to performances and results.

He’s now implored the Celtic manager, Ange Postecoglou, to go ‘wipe the floor’ with their Glasgow rivals on Sunday and lay down a marker.

The Ibrox side also got to the Europa League group stages on Thursday but whimpered in against a 10 man Alshkert side. Chris Sutton is alluding to the behind closed door title winners are not firing as well as they were last season.

The derby kicks off at 12pm on Sunday and it’s going to be an interesting game. Celtic fans. were dreading this fixture a month or so ago because of the work Ange had on his plate. Things have progressed well and even after a difficult night in Holland, the bhoys have beaten a good Alkmaar side 3-2 on aggregate.

They will take confidence from that but if they want a win this weekend, Celtic need to get serious about defending.
