Former Celtic striker and current Sky Sports pundit, Andy Walker has had his say on the protest’s that took place last night, labelling it as ‘shocking’ and ‘disgusting’.

Speaking on Sky Sports this morning, it is clear to see Walker’s disgust at this situation, which saw things pile over and even had supporters chasing players cars, which lead the pundit to claim that he doesn’t ‘recognise them as Celtic supporters’.

“I thought they were shocking, I thought they were disgusting and I’ve got to say I don’t recognise those people as Celtic supporters.

“This is a team that has won the last eleven domestic trophies and they are being chased away from their own ground.

“These alleged Celtic supporters were attacking the police, they were throwing missiles and for some of the players to be under attack like that, some of the members of the media to be under attack like that.

“I don’t recognise them as Celtic supporters.”

This all came to a head after Celtic’s 2-0 loss in the League Cup to Ross County which left the Scottish Champions on a run of 2 wins in 10 games which is completely unacceptable.

Ultimately, fans would have been right to voice their opinion under usual circumstances, within the stadium, which would probably have seen manager Neil Lennon gone before now, due to pressure.

Last night’s scenes though, took things a little too far. Granted, I wouldn’t say all the fans that were there took part in this, with a majority of them probably there just to have their voices heard but there is a way to go about things and that is not by chasing players cars.
