HUGH KEEVINS has bemoaned the lack of leaks coming out of Celtic with regards to who the new manager is going to be.

There was a flurry of activity from journalists on the Easter weekend but the trails has since gone cold.

Eddie Howe continues to be the only man really linked with the Celtic job at this time. The media aren’t even doing their usual thing where they continue to link other names with the position until a new man is announced.

Hugh Keevin’s told a Superscoreboard caller he finds it bizarre there has been no leaks but more so that Dermot Desmond or Peter Lawwell haven’t even updated the fans.

“I find it astonishing that you, the fan, are left in that position of, ‘Well, whoever it is.’ It’ll be nine weeks on Wednesday since Neil Lennon lost his job at Celtic and it’s gone very, very quiet. And you’re right, there have been no leaks.

“I don’t mind that, the whole job of journalists is to find out what people don’t want them to know. And no doubt, that people have been digging, and digging, and digging.

“It still seems to be Eddie Howe or Eddie Howe. And there has been absolutely nothing coming to the fore from Dermot Desmond or Peter Lawwell. I find it bizarre.”

It’s become very tedious and repetitive for Celtic fans who want to see things happening.

The transparency at the club this season has been non-existent. The few times the club have come out and spoken to fans, it’s been very contrived with no opportunity for follow up.

The Champions League qualifiers start on July 20th. As we approach May, it’s worrying the club are not getting on with the very difficult task of replacing big-name players and doing a much-needed squad appraisal.

Instead, we’re stuck in an infinite Eddie Howe loop.

  1. Maybe an investigation into the blatant racism at ibrox on Sunday would be more important at the moment than who our manager might be. No didn’t think so.
