KRIS COMMONS is all over the papers today giving the likes of Charlie Nicholas and Andy Walker a run for their money. The midfielder blasted the central defensive pairing of Christopher Jullien and Kristoffer Ajer, not just for Sunday’s game against Kilmarnock but in general.

Commons went as far as saying he could still do a shift for Celtic in defence most games when Celtic are cruising.

The former Parkhead midfielder has fully embraced his role to criticise the club whenever possible. We’ve seen so much from Commons, who has to get imaginative when you’re criticising a club who have won the last 11 domestic trophies on the bounce.

A lot of Celtic fans have lost any respect they had for the player who would blow hot and cold for the club during his tenure.

In the midst of his self-indulgent diatribe, the former player did give one nugget of transfer information he says is ‘fact’.

“I know for a fact that the club are currently in the market for another left-back, so you’d have to think Boli Bolingoli would be on his way out the door if an offer came in.” Commons wrote in his DailyMail column as cited by RecordSport.

“Jeremie Frimpong is a huge talent, but he’s still a young boy and will make mistakes. Hatem Abd Elhamed is probably the most natural defender Celtic have. I’d give him a run at centre-back.”

Celtic were rumoured to be in the market for a left-back but Commons is 100% confident that is the case. The club needs to sell Boli Bolingoli before they will bring another player in for that position.
