Neil Lennon gave one of his best press conferences ever yesterday. He has had some belters in the past but yesterday was different style slaying from the Irishman. In the past, he might have raised his voice to hammer home a statement. Yesterday he was calm, methodical and used his killer blows like a hired assassin.

Unlike his opposite number at Ibrox, Lennon has always shown his opposition respect. He had a lot of praise for today’s opponents at Celtic Park and the tough test they will provide.

“Livingston play a consistent formation. I like them. They’ve had a brilliant few years. A big strong team and it’s going to be another right good game,” he said.

Celtic are 13 points clear at the top of the SPFL table and will secure an eighth consecutive title if they can beat Livingston today and Motherwell beat Rangers tomorrow. Otherwise Celtic will win the league at Easter Road by beating Livi today and then Hibs, regardless of what other teams do.

Livingston secured their place in Scotland’s top flight for another season with a 2-0 win against relegation-threatened Hamilton on Wednesday.
