Reported Celtic target Kevin Nisbet got among the goals for Scotland tonight giving way to more calls for the Hoops to sign the Hibs striker this summer.

Nisbet had a top season for Hibs, helping them finish third in the league and they got all the way to the Scottish Cup final before being pipped by St Johnstone.

Celtic are on the lookout for new strikers but can’t make any proper decisions until a new manager is appointed.

The Bhoys could have all summer to wrap up a deal for the Hibernian star but they could be priced out of a move if he gets more goals for Scotland during the Euros.

Some fans have been reacting to his goal against Netherlands.

The club are likely to lose Edouard this transfer window and Leigh Griffiths seems like he has one foot out the door at the minute. Bringing Nisbet in for next season could give us a bit more energy up front but it all depends on if he fits into the new manager’s system.

  1. Celtic with any decent manager will shred the Scottish league next season, just as they ought to have done this past season. With the resources available it’s all about what Celtic do, not the also rans. Whether it’s Ange, or previously Eddie, it matters not – a decent manager at Celtic makes light work of the domestic scene. Celtic are currently 50 titles ahead, so they clearly welcome any kind of a chase.

  2. The usual knee jerk reaction from some , I wonder if he hadn’t scored tonight would they be saying same thing ?
