Ex-Celtic defender from Martin O’Neill’s first treble-winning season, Ramon Vega has expressed how much he still misses Celtic after all these years.
The big defender had a short but memorable part to play in Celtic’s treble under the Irishman and it was a disappointment at the time when he moved on.
After watching an old clip posted online the former Swiss star made the admission he still misses Celtic and he made great memories while in Glasgow.
What can I say … still missing CELTIC … great memories , great year and a treble winning too for CELTIC . Thank you CELTIC for this great memories .. https://t.co/W6WsrbTrtd

The defender came to Celtic on-loan from Tottenham Hotspur and made his mark for sure.
He was certainly the type of defender Martin O’Neill loved, an absolute tower who could be commanding in the air, not unlike Bobo Balde and Johan Mjallby.
There are so many players who miss Celtic once they move on.
Ramon, I vividly remember your ( all to short ) time at Celtic, the calm and cultured way that you did your job was a Joy to perceive, I only wish that it had been a longer, much longer stay.

What a wonderful player Ramon Vega was at Celtic.
I remember his time here with much gratitude and fondness. He was a strong, courageous, cultured, calm and intelligent team player who also had great leadership qualities. His stay was all too short and he looked very much as if he was born to wear the hoops. Ramon was also a model professional both on and off the park and I would hope he will always feel welcome in Paradise.
