NEIL LENNON has reiterated his hope of signing one more player before the deadline on October 5.

If rumours are to be believed, the main focus is a left wing-back who can fit into the Irishman’s 3-5-2 system.

The manager was quizzed on potential incomings and outgoings between now and October, he couldn’t guarantee anything but he’s hopeful of one more new face and limited numbers going the other way.

“You get to take a deep breath after October 5 and look forward to the rest of the season, or at least until January.” Neil Lennon told SunSport.

“I am hoping it will be pretty quiet. We would like to get another player in, one more if we can.

“I would be absolutely delighted if that’s going to be the outcome.

“But I can’t predict what’s going to happen one way or the other.”

Celtic fans face an anxious wait to see if the club can hold onto their top players.

In recent weeks we’ve seen Edouard, Ajer, Rogic, Ntcham and now Christie linked with a move away from Parkhead. It’s conceivable that one or two of them could head out before the deadline but if it was up to Neil Lennon, he’d like to keep as many in the squad as possible.

We’re getting to the business end of the window so expect speculation to ramp up even more.
