Celtic star Josip Juranovic is in the semi-final of the World Cup and looking to get to the final against Argentina.

With the world watching and the whole of the UK having to watch on ITV or STV, it was Roy Keane, Ian Wright and Gary Neville who were the pundits inside the studio.

When it came to discussing Juranovic and his heroics for Croatia, Ian Wright attempted to look like he had the inside track on the Hoops defender.

Live on ITV, Wright said: Juranovic has been kept out the Celtic side by Anthony Ralston

It was an attempt to look clever that totally backfired. Although, anyone who doesn’t run in Celtic circles will now believe that to be the case. While Ralston has had game time under Ange and had done very well, Josip has been our first team right back for well over a year.

Ange likes to rotate sometimes, but there’s nothing true about what Wright told the entirety of the UK.

It’s bizarre to think Ian played for Celtic back in the late 90s under John Barnes. We don’t want to get on his back but if you’re going to say something, make sure you know the facts.

Juranovic’s future is still up in the air. The right back could leave Celtic in January if the price is right.
