Ibrox cheerleader Alex Rae must have been waiting weeks to attempt to get one over on Celtic after the Hoops thrashed the team he supports at Celtic Park.

The former midfielder had a laugh at Celtic’s expense on social media after the bhoys were humbled by Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt.

The fact he had anything to say shows how much he was hurting after the Glasgow Derby and he’s had to wait over two weeks to try and get his own back on the Celtic support.

“Someone turn the disco lights out it’s gone a little Pete Tong.” He wrote on twitter.

Their fascination with Celtic’s ‘disco lights’ is quite the thing. Alex watched The Rangers melt under the same lights and atmosphere at the beginning of the month.

The old saying empty vessels make the most noise is incredibly pertinent when it comes to Alex.

Celtic have to lick their wounds and pick themselves up after a very disappointing performance.

The bhoys have a game against Dundee on Sunday where they’ll look to stay top of the SPFL with a victory.

We can’t allow for any European hangovers.
