IBROX STAR Alfredo Morelos’ season is over after returning to Ibrox from international duty with an injury.  [The Rangers’ Statement]

The Columbian striker has been a stand out in the Rangers side, especially when Van Bronkhorst arrived in Glasgow. The Dutch manager will be stuck with Kemar Roofe playing up top, who doesn’t fill the striker role as effectively as the Columbian.

With his contract expiring next summer, The Rangers may be forced to sell the striker for a cut-price this summer or risk losing him without receiving a fee after the turn of the year. This means that the club won’t receive a record-breaking fee. That’s if there are any suitors, with Morelos to be sidelined for most of the summer.

Celtic faces the opposite situation. Kyogo Furuhashi is returning from injury, with the manager confirming he’ll be involved at the weekend against St Johnstone. Postecoglou will have to manage the minutes of his star striker and Giakoumakis, who have been on top form late.
