CRAIG GORDON has come under fire tonight after questioning the SFA’s decision making and lack of transparency from our governing body after a disastrous start to the campaign when it comes to dealing with disciplinary matters.

One fan tonight posted a picture of Craig Gordon coming out for a ball and clattering into Greig Spence. A challenge at the time that should have seen red but the goalkeeper was spared at the time.

The Gers fan who posted the image to try and vindicate his own goalkeeper for acting like a thug quickly backfired on him when Greig Spence, the lad who was on the receiving end of Gordon’s challenge revealed The Celtic goalkeeper covered his wages while he was off sicker for three months because of it.

It was a reckless challenge at the time and Gordon knew it himself.

It was a fantastic gesture by the Scotland international and shows his class.

This wasn’t an opportunistic kick at a fellow professional. It was a shocking attempt to try and defend by the goalkeeper and had no malice behind him.

The whataboutery coming off the Gers fan’s tweet is par for the course.

  1. This is exactly the kind of story the press should but don’t print, where it involves a Celtic player in a positive light.Jabba would be all over it, if it had been a sevco player, who had payed another players wages.
