STEVEN GERRARD was forced to address one of his player’s actions after Joe Worrall was filmed after the Ibrox club’s end of season party shouting ‘F*** the Celtic’ after he had a few drinks.

The video came out just a week after Celtic had beat The Rangers 2-1 at Parkhead where Steven Gerrard’s men showed their indiscipline in a significant way with two men getting sent off on the day and another retrospectively banned.

Instead of going about their business and having a good night – Joe thought it was necessary to chant about Celtic.

Speaking about the incident, Steven Gerrard wasn’t happy:

“I have seen it and I have spoken to the players about it.” Gerrard told the EveningTimes. We will deal with that internally but I have made it quite clear that I was unhappy about it and about the conduct. Hopefully after the words said to the players, situations like that won’t happen again. If they do, players will be severely punished for it.”

Celtic are on the brink of their eighth title and can bring it home in a matter of days or weeks depending on results.

Neil Lennon’s men have not been beaten this year. The bhoys last defeat came at the back end of 2018 at Ibrox when they were beaten 1-0 by Gerrard’s men who thought they could kick-on and win the title.

It has certainly not panned out that way – with Celtic not skipping a beat in between manager upheaval.
