Rangers defender Leon Balogun has praised Celtic captain Scott Brown for his ‘powerful’ message last week after showing support to opposition midfielder Glen Kamara due to the racism he faced against Slavia Prague.

In an interview with German outlet Kicker, translated by popular Scottish commentator Derek Rae, the incident which went viral was heavily praised sending a message against racism.

Before last weeks game, it was brilliant to see Brown send that message by showing support to Kamara, that no one in any walk of life should face this sort of abuse.

As well as this, both sides stood instead of taking the knee to further that message and stand together against racism.

It is clear to see how appreciated this was, with comments from the likes of Balogun, and Brown went on further to mention this solidarity in his interview after the game.

In this day in age, it is incredible that these sorts of incidents take place. There is no place for racism, anywhere in life.

  1. To be honest Balogun, you were less than polite when you said you would never say the team name CELTIC while you plated for sevco. You stated fellow members of your chosen team had been telling you the abuse they suffered from CELTIC players.

Having watched you foul your way to a red card, I suspect you won’t be long at ipox and will be surplus to slimy Gerrards requirements, bon voyage, bye bye!
