Gers Fan and West Brom player James Morrison has urged his teammate to snub Celtic this summer in favour of staying with the English side.
Out of contact West Brom man, Rekeem Harper was confirmed to be at Celtic Park on the final day of the SPFL season as the club’s VIP guest when the bhoys lifted the SPFL trophy. Neil Lennon’s trip to the Hawthorn’s during the Baggies disappointing playoff result was said to be for the midfielder also.
Harper’s contract is up this summer and he’s free to talk to anyone about a move but Morrison has warned against the 19-year-old making the Parkhead switch.
“In midfield next season there’s only Rak, Sam Field, Jake Livermore and Chris Brunt. He’s got a chance to play.:” he told Herald Scotland.
“Is he guaranteed that at Celtic? He’s not. And that’s a tough place to play too.”
Neil Lennon has some rebuilding to do once he officially signs on the dotted line as Celtic manager. It looks like the Irishman has been putting things in place for quite a while behind the scenes as interim boss.
Should Celtic land Rekeem this summer they would only have to pay a very nominal FIFA enforced youth fee for the player.
Don’t listen to some failed loan player Harper. If Celtic see something in you, go for it. Morrison has had more clubs than Slazenger, yet has never played for sevco. He has high opinions of himself but feels qualified to put you right on your future. Tell the wee knob to ‘take a hike’!

James Morrison, When did he ever do anything in the game, No disrespect to baggies but he has been shite for them and he is trying to give advice to this young lad not to come to our great club, He should concentrate on his own career even the baggies and their supporters must realise by now, Morrison has done sweet (SFA) for their cause, And he has got the cheek to give out advice to another young lad possibly another up and coming young footballer who would definitely benefit if he decided that he wanted to come to Paradise & Play in the green and white hoops if and or when Celtic decide that they want to sign him, Obviously it shall be up to this young lad if he wanted to come to our great club and I am sure by now that this young lad already knows more about our club and our great history, Than that “GOB SHITE MORRISON”, My own advice is, Son if Celtic want you and think that you are good enough and think that you have a future with our club, Please do not hesitate you couldn’t honestly come or go to any other club to play your football, We have a first class stadium second to none, We have a team that has just made another piece of footballing history by winning The Treble Treble, We have The Biggest and best supporters worldwide, (The CelticFamily) We have a fantastic manager in Neil Lennon, We have a great chairman in Mr Peter Lawwell And our club is in a terrific financial state of mind and not forgetting our bhoys who always strive for further success and work in tandem with our great Celtic family, So really what’s left to think about and Rent a gob–shite Morrison who is Trying to give you advice another (#un) that tries to talk a good game, He should take a good look at himself and realise he is just another part of the manky mob, Hurting and shall ever be living in the shadow of our great history making successful club.
