ALAN MCGREGOR will find out today if he is to face any sort of punishment for kicking out at Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer.

The goalkeeper acted like a thug and was calculated when he saw his opportunity to have a kick at Ajer while he lay on the ground.

The referee and his officials missed it but the cameras got every single bit of it.

If the referee had seen McGregor at the time it would have surely resulted in the Scots goalkeeper being sent off and the bhoys awarded a penalty.

Since Celtic won the game though, the most pressing narrative that has been pushed by many in the media is the challenge between Ryan Jack and Tom Rogic just before Celtic’s fantastic counter attack resulted in an Olivier Ntcham goal.

This flashpoint has been talked about more than any sort of punishment McGregor could face.

The compliance officer has confirmed it will be reviewing the footage and the goalkeeper will now surely be retroactively punished.

  1. It’s the typical what if scenario from the press up here, how about what if the referee had seen the McGregor incident and done his job?red card ,penalty and a goal, just a pity we did not get the luck we deserved for our play, and won this out of the park, which we did, other goals would have nullified super Stevie’s excuses.

  2. Pity no officials had seen McGregor kick out at Ajer, Also their was no foul by Tom Rogic, The referee was well placed and did not see any infringement as Celtic had ran up field and scored, So “Stevie G” Stop blabbing your gums off, The linesman was calling (Foul Foul Foul Foul) = 4 Times, Stevie G If you think that Ref W.Collum had seen any infringement made by a Celtic Player (ie) Tom Rogic, He would not have hesitated to blow his whistle and award your “Newco” a free kick, Also did you not see that Goalie Deliberately kick out against Ajer and (IF) Any official had seen it, Your Goalie would have received a “Red Card” Only this time you would have not have had a certain orchestra conductor conducting your (800 Followers) ????????
