HARRY REDKNAPP revealed he would be extremely surprised if Celtic were to cash in on Scott Sinclair in the summer with speculation on his future becoming an increasingly popular topic.

The Celtic star has bagged 17 goals this season but has generally not recaptured the form that saw him win player of the year last season.

Redknapp is a huge fan of Sinclairs ability and believes he’s best served at Celtic, however, if a Premier League could snag him he would consider it a coup.

“He’s an exciting player, can score goals, can create goals.

“I don’t know if Celtic want to sell him — but there’s no doubt he’d be a BIG asset for Bournemouth if Eddie Howe was looking to bring him in.

“He had a sort of wasted few years in England, he wasn’t playing and sort of drifted into the wilderness. But at Celtic he’s found a spark again.

“He had a great first season, scored plenty of goals and won everything up there.

“I’d be surprised if Celtic were to sell him.”

Sinclair should hopefully come back from the international break galvanised and ready to make his mark for the remainder of the season.

  1. “I’d be even more surprised if anyone paid even the merest morsel of attention to anything that spouts out the mouth of this shady cockney conman spiv”.
